NAKO LAKE-

INTROUCTION:- Nako Lake is a beautiful lake located in the village of Nako in Kinnaur district, Himachal Pradesh, India. Nako is a village in the Himalayas of Northern, located near the Indo-China border in the Trans-Himalayan region of Kinnaur district in Himachal Pradesh.

HISTORY:- Nako Lake forms the boundary of this village and was name after it. The lake is considered by villagers as it is believed that Guru Padmasambhav meditated near the lake and his footprints are also marked on a rock here. One of the earliest descriptions of Nako is by the botanist Thomas Thomson based on his expedition in August 1847. He reported that Nako was smaller than Leo. He reported that Nako was smaller than

GEOGRAPHY:- Lake is situated at an altitude of 3,662m (12,014ft.) above sea level. The size of lake is approximately 90m (300ft.) long and 50m (160ft.) wide. The lake length is approximately 500m long. The lake is surrounded by lush green trees, mountains and scenic villages.
