A Little Known , Beautiful Heaven
At an altitude of 10,000 feet , the tiny little village of Rasol is nestled deep in the foothills of the Himalayas. Located near Kasol , you can hike from there to Rasol . The beautiful scenery of the Parvati Valley is the biggest draw here . With around 75 houses in the village, it is small enough for you to enjoy peace and quiet. As you stroll through thre village, you will find people engaged in spinning wool which is an important part of daily life. For someone who has ventured to Rasol in search of the resident of this village have never ventured out beyond a few neighbouring village. If you are headed for Rasol , do not expect fancy hotels. These serve good food . An excellent place with great weather around the year, winters in Rasol can be bitterly cold.
Rasol’s residents are typically involved in animal husbandry or hash/cannabis agriculture, as are the majority of the Parvati Valley’s villages. The majority of the time, people are busy weaving wool for themselves and supplying the markets below. Few people have travelled outside of the Kullu district due to the village’s extreme terrain.
A few kilometers from old Kasol is the Chojh Bridge which goes on to the Chojh village. Take the Bridge bride on the route that leads to chalal. This bridge ia a lovely iron bridge that crosses the majestic Parvati river. It is worth the while to take the steps leading to the bank of the river and spend some time there. A further 20 minute walk and you arrive in Chalal.You have to trek on to reach Rasol . The entire trail is very well defined and marked. Clearly marked arrows on rocks and trees point you in the direction of Rasol. On your way back, if you wish to, you can come back via village Chojh.
